Chepstow Community Orchards

About us

Chepstow is home to 14 mini orchards. These orchards help to increase biodiversity, create safe havens for wildlife, and produce fruit available to the community.
Chepstow Town Council initiated the planting and partially funds their ongoing maintenance, with additional support from the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Welsh Perry & Cider Society’s “Heritage of Orchards and Cider Making in Wales” project.  The fruit is there for everyone to enjoy. It can be picked when ripe.

Trails

There are two walking trails around the Orchard sites.
Maps and Written directions can be found by following the link below.

Volunteering

All planting, pruning, and maintenance of the orchards is carried out by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about sustaining the trees for future generations.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist in our pruning sessions. You will learn how to care for the trees. No experience is necessary and training and equipment will be provided. It’s a great way to get outdoors, meet new people, and give back to our beautiful community spaces.
If you would like to get involved or would like more information please contact us.
